Singapore Fashion Week 2015

Singapore Fashion Week, a replacement to the event Audi Fashion Festival, is set to showcase the latest fashion trends this coming 13-17 May. With an aim to promote Singapore as a retail hub, Singapore Fashion Week goes for greater trade focus alongside a partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). In fact, the CFDA president von Furstenberg will grace the event with her new collection as well as speak with industry professionals and students, and members of the public. As part of this partnership, established American designers will conduct mentorship for local designers.

Singapore Fashion Week Chairman Tjin Lee’s goal is to “internationalise Singapore and regional designers.”

During the Audi Fashion Festival in the previous years, known international fashion brands such as Roberto Cavalli, Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera were part of the participating brands. Likewise, local brands showcased new fashion trends. Raoul, hansel and Saturday were there to bring light to the previous fashion events.

This fashion news is likely to make a huge fuss among fashion enthusiasts as many expect better Singapore shopping experience this 2015! This year, managing director of Mercury Marketing & Communications, Ms Lee, confirmed to invite more international buyers from top stores in the likes of Saks Fifth Avenue, Net-A-Porter and Harvey Nichols in an effort to boost stronger trade focus.

Organisers have high hopes as it is revealed that Singapore Fashion Week will cost $2m and to be funded by private sponsors as well as government funding in some specific aspects.

Get ready to witness a big, live fashion magazine happening soon. The latest fashion trends in Singapore and around Southeast Asia are soon to get bigger. It is a new revolution in the fashion industry in Singapore as all things fashionable in both international and Asia lifestyle will be showcased with class and expertise.

More information about Singapore Fashion Week and ticketing will be released March 2015..
